Shi Daoyuan (1616-1678) was a Taoist priest in the early Qing Dynasty. Zi Liangsheng. A native of Hengshan, Wu County. At the age of five or six, he became fond of immortals. At thirteen, he lost his mother and wanted to abandon his family to study Taoism. His father refused, but his teachers knelt down to ask him, and he agreed. Entering the True Temple of the Court, I followed the Taoist priest Shen Nianchang. At the age of seventeen, he paid homage to Xu Kanning on Longhu Mountain and learned the Five Thunder Method. During the reign of Emperor Shunzhi (1648), Wu Zi built a room in Wushan for cultivation. In the year of Gengyin (1650), he presided over Qionglong Mountain and built over twenty halls. Subsequently, Zhang Hongren, a true man of the Han Dynasty, bestowed upon him the title of Shangzhen and bestowed upon him the title of Daoyuan Yangyuan Baoyi to promote the evolution of the religion. In the middle of the county, the great hall of the Round and wonderful temple is 圯, at some time Lu Fang sought the fundraising but failed, invited Dao Yuan, in three or four years, the Three Pure halls were completed. The Lei Zu Hall, the mountain gate, the terrace and the Mi Luo Pavilion were built along with it.
