At the age of seven, he read Laozi's two chapters on morality and understood its meaning. He was a scholar of the Imperial College, well-versed in astronomy, geography, the various schools of Thought, the Five Classics, and studied under over a thousand people. The factor was determined to the way of the yellow and old, seeing the decline of the world, soon left his official and retired to the north 邙山(now Henan Luoyang north). Both Emperor Zhang of Han and Emperor He's imperial edicts were rejected. Later, he and his disciple Wang Chang entered Poyang, Jiangxi Province from the Huai River. They then flowed to Yunjin Mountain (now Longhu Mountain), where they refined the Nine Heavens Divine Elixir. After three years of completing the elixir, Longhu saw it and the mountain was named after it. Hearing that the people in Sichuan were pure and honest and easy to educate, he entered Sichuan and settled in Heming Mountain to practice Taoism. In the first year of the Han 'an era (142), he was inspired by the Supreme Ruler to impart the teachings of the "Zhengyi Mengwei Dao" or the "Zhengyi Santian Zhengfa" and the "Zhengyi Ke Shu Yao Dao", thus establishing Taoism. The twenty-four governance systems were established, with sacrificial wine being used for distribution. They were not fond of imposing punishments, governed the people with integrity and shame, and treated diseases with water. The common people regarded them as their teachers. Respecting Laozi as the founding father, he wrote the "Commentary on Laozi Xiang Er" based on the "Five Thousand Texts of Laozi" to expound the doctrines of Taoism, stating that "Dao" is "one", and "when one scatters, it forms qi; when it gathers, it forms the Supreme Laozi." Take "Dao" as the highest belief. In the second year of Yongshou (156), he passed away in immortality with his wife, Lady Yong, at the age of 123.
