March 14, 2025 (the 15th day of the second lunar month) is the anniversary of the birth of Laozi, the founder of Taoism. To promote the spirit of the founder of Taoism and pray for world peace, many Taoist communities around the world have held prayer ceremonies to celebrate the birthday of Laozi, the founder of Taoism, under the initiative of the World Taoist Federation.

At nine o'clock in the morning, it's an auspicious day. The Zhoukou Taoist Association held a grand Christmas and birthday celebration ceremony in Luyi County, Zhoukou City, Henan Province, the hometown of Taoist ancestors. The ceremony site is solemn and dignified, with a gathering of thousands of auspicious people. Song Cheng, the President of the Zhoukou Taoist Association, led the entire Taoist community in front of the Sanqing Hall of the Taiqing Palace, reciting scriptures and performing teachings, devoutly paying tribute to the Xuanyuan of Taiqing, sincerely wishing the founder of Taoism longevity, and praying for the harmony of heaven and earth, national peace and people's well-being, and world peace. The Singapore Taoist Association, the Mexican Taoist Association, the Swiss Taoist Association, the Qingsong Temple in New Zealand, Australia, the Hong Kong Taoist Association and other member units of the World Taoist Federation, as well as Taoist organizations and Taoist temples such as the Nigerian Taoist Association and Taipei Guide Temple, held simultaneous ceremonies in the local area to jointly bless and pray for blessings.

The World Taoist Federation has proposed for the first time that the global Taoist community jointly hold a commemorative event for the birth of Laozi, the founder of Taoism. This not only demonstrates the world influence of China's excellent traditional culture, but also contributes the wisdom and strength of Taoism to promoting cultural exchange and mutual learning, and building a community with a shared future for mankind. It will effectively consolidate the ideological consensus of the global Taoist community and promote the creative transformation and innovative development of Taoist culture on a global scale.
