Prince Fu Zhen · Iron Rod Becomes Needle - Wu Dan Mountain, Zhi Zi Slope, Hubei Province
The Taizhuopu Scenic Area of Wudang Mountain is located in Shidai City, Hubei Province. According to the legend, in the Taoist mythological system, Emperor Zhenwu abandoned his throne when he was young and traveled to Wudang to practice. The Taizhuopu area was the starting point for "leaving the family and the country and entering the Taoist path", so it is also called "The Place Where the Prince Studied" or "The Place Where the Prince Practiced Taoism". In the tenth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Zhu Di of the Ming Dynasty ordered the construction of the Xuan Emperor Hall, the mountain gate, corridors and pavilions, totaling 29 buildings. The ancient architectural complex of Taizhuopu was basically designed based on the story of Emperor Zhenwu's cultivation. Ancient architectural masters ingeniously utilized the shape of the mountain and the terrain to build walls like undulating waves, which is called the "Nine-Loop Yellow River Wall". Entering the second mountain gate, a wide courtyard suddenly appears. Walking in, one can see that the courtyard is layered, quiet and elegant. There is a "Five Clouds Pavilion" built against the rock in front, an "皇经堂" and a "藏经阁" in the middle, and a "Prince's Hall" on the high platform at the back. Among them, the most magical is the "One Column with Twelve Beams", which is hailed as a wonder of ancient Chinese architecture. It embodies the meaning of "talents like pillars".
