The National Conference of United Front Work Directors was held at a crucial time when the "15th Five-Year Plan" was getting underway. It was an important meeting aimed at unifying thoughts, consolidating consensus, and clarifying directions. The conference profoundly expounded the significant importance, fundamental principles, and key tasks of doing well the united front work in the new era, providing important guidance and path directions for the work of Taoism.

The Chinese Taoist Association promptly organized the dissemination and study of the meeting's spirit.Next, we will combine the study and implementation of the spirit of the meeting with the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. We will thoroughly study and comprehend General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on religious work, and unwaveringly implement the important decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee on religious work. We will focus on the main task of adhering to the direction of sinicizing religions in China and strengthening the legal governance of religious affairs. We will strengthen the modern construction of Taoist doctrines and the interpretation of Taoist classics, implement religious policies and regulations as well as newly formulated and revised educational systems, regulate and manage according to law, eradicate the breeding ground for commercialization issues, ensure harmony and stability in the Taoist field, and strive to create a new situation for Taoist work in the new era.

2.Keeping closely to the theme of educational activities, promoting the spirit of the "Initiative" to go deeper and more practical

The launch of the educational campaign titled "Learning Laws and Regulations, Observing Precepts, Emphasizing Cultivation, and Establishing an Image" (hereinafter referred to as the "Educational Campaign") is a crucial measure for the Chinese Taoist community to implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the spirit of the National United Front Work Department during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. It aligns with the requirements of the times and is essential for the healthy inheritance of Taoism. The China Taoist Association will enhance its historical initiative and sense of mission, address shortcomings, strengthen weak points, and ensure tangible results.

Firstly, mobilization and deployment were carried out to promote comprehensive coverage of the activities. Deployment and promotion meetings were held in a timely manner, plans were issued, mechanisms were established, and the main responsibility of local Taoist associations was emphasized. The leading group took the lead in studying, discussing, and publishing articles. The association headquarters revised internal norms, established a platform for Taoist style supervision, and set an example. All regions responded quickly, formulated plans based on their actual situations, held deployment meetings and special study sessions, and formed a good situation of top-down linkage and comprehensive coverage.

Second, we should focus on problems and strive for practical results. Based on "learning", we should organize studies to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on religious work, the Constitution and laws, religious policies and regulations, as well as Taoist precepts, hold reading classes and lectures, and strengthen the awareness of the rule of law and the consciousness of adhering to precepts. With "investigation" as the key, we should strictly adhere to the requirements of the "Initiative on Advocating Frugality, Abandoning Luxury, and Upholding Correct Beliefs and Practices" (hereinafter referred to as the "Initiative"), and thoroughly investigate and identify problems. With "correction" as the goal, we should establish a rectification ledger, specify time limits, and resolutely rectify and improve to the fullest extent.

Thirdly, we should focus on establishing rules and regulations to promote long-term and regular governance. We should closely integrate educational activities with institutional construction, take the opportunity of formulating and revising educational regulations such as the "Administrative Measures for Taoist Temples", integrate the spirit of the "Initiative" into Taoist behavioral norms and activity standards, and formulate work guidelines for implementing the "Initiative" to refine standards.

The China Taoist Association will lead the Taoist community nationwide to unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the National United Front Work Department Ministerial Meeting, take educational activities as a starting point, solidly promote various key tasks, continuously enhance the breadth and depth of the sinicization of Taoism, and contribute the wisdom and strength of the Taoist community to comprehensively promoting the construction of a powerful nation and the great cause of national rejuvenation through Chinese-style modernization.
