From December 29th to 30th, 2025, the 11th National Representative Conference of the China Taoist Association was held in Beijing, with 361 representatives from the Taoist community and 54 specially invited representatives from 30 provinces (including autonomous regions and municipalities) across the country participating in the conference.Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, met with members of the leadership of the China Taoist Association and took a group photo with the attending representatives.Li Ganjie, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, attended the meeting. Duan Yijun, Deputy Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the State Administration for Religious Affairs, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

    The theme of this conference is: to hold high the great banner of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, unite and lead the Taoist community and believers nationwide, thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on religious work and the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee, systematically promote the sinicization of religions in China, strengthen the legal governance of Taoist affairs, implement the requirements of comprehensively strict governance of Taoism, promote the healthy inheritance of Taoism, actively guide Taoism to adapt to socialist society, and contribute to comprehensively advancing the construction of a powerful country and the great cause of national rejuvenation through Chinese-style modernization.

    Daoist Priest Li Guangfu delivered a work report on behalf of the 10th Council of the China Taoist Association. The report comprehensively summarized the important achievements and successful experiences of the past five years, pointed out the main problems existing in the current Taoist work, made arrangements and deployments for the work in the next five years, and proposed to take Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era as the guide, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and all previous plenary sessions of the 20th Central Committee, deeply study and understand General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on religious work, fully implement the Party's basic principles on religious work, consciously implement the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee in all aspects and throughout the entire process of Taoist work, take the systematic promotion of the sinicization of religions in China and the strengthening of the rule of law in Taoist affairs as the main line, focus on implementing the requirements of comprehensively strict self-governance and strengthening the education and management of clergy, and take ideological construction, Taoist style construction, and institutional construction as the starting point, actively take action and make self-transformation, promote the healthy inheritance of Taoism, jointly push forward the grand blueprint of the "15th Five-Year Plan" to become a reality, and make new contributions to comprehensively promoting the construction of a powerful country and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through Chinese-style modernization.

    The meeting elected the 11th Council and Standing Council of the China Taoist Association. Li Guangfu was elected as the President, and 18 individuals, including Meng Zhiling (resident), Xie Rongzeng, Wu Chengzhen, Ji Hongzhong, Deng Xinde, Yuan Zongshan, Liang Chongxiong, Wu Lizhi, Tang Chengqing, Guo Hanwen (resident), Sun Chongshan, Tang Siyue, Li Shaohua, Sun Mincai, Li Zongqing, Yu Zongshi, Yao Shuliang, and Li Hechun, were elected as Vice Presidents. Kuang Sheng was elected as the Secretary-General.

    The meeting elected Zhang Gaocheng as the chairman of the Advisory Committee, and also elected vice-chairmen and committee members.

    The meeting elected the first Board of Supervisors of the China Taoist Association, with Huang Zhi'an being elected as the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, as well as the Vice Chairman and other supervisors.

    The meeting deliberated and approved the "Work Report of the 10th Council of the China Taoist Association" and the newly revised "Constitution of the China Taoist Association". Additionally, it adopted 11 newly revised educational systems, including the "Administrative Measures for Taoist Temples", and 7 newly established educational systems, such as the "Appointment Measures for Abbots of Taoist Quanzhen Sect Temples".

    The responsible person from the relevant department of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee and representatives of the heads of other national religious organizations attended the meeting to extend their congratulations.
